Celebrate Global Accessibility Awareness Day with Perkins Access
Share
Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) is an annual event that shines a light on digital access and inclusion for people with disabilities. This year, we’ll be celebrating on Thursday, May 21st.
Right now, with so many activities shifting online, digital accessibility is more important than ever before. Why? Because everyone needs to be able to do things like participate in distance learning, research their candidates in an upcoming election or schedule an online care appointment — and the good news is that there are ways to include everyone, regardless of age, ability or means of access.
Here at Perkins Access, we recognize the importance of accessibility every day — so we’re extra-excited to have everyone join us for GAAD. Here are just some of the ways our team plans to celebrate:
- Jennifer Sagalyn, Director of Strategic Partnerships – Jennifer is celebrating GAAD by reaching out to Perkins Access clients to thank them for their commitment to accessibility.
- Kelsey Bronski, Senior Marketing Specialist – Kelsey is celebrating GAAD by watching W3C Web Accessibility Initiative’s short videos that cover everything web accessibility — from the first review to involving users in the process.
If you’re wondering how you can celebrate GAAD, we have a few suggestions:
