Commitment Statements

We’ll craft a statement describing the steps you’ve taken to address accessibility with Perkins Access, including the fact that you’re evaluating your products with native users of assistive technology. A good statement also addresses the fact that accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time fix.

Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs)

A VPAT provides a detailed analysis of your conformance to WCAG accessibility standards. It’s important to complete this document correctly and to update it over time to reflect where you are in your accessibility journey.

International accessibility statements

Perkins Access can work with you on other accessibility statements as well, including those for UK and Canadian government accessibility regulations.

Why VPATs matter:

  • Protect from lawsuits
  • Embrace users with disabilities
  • Highlight corporate responsibility
  • Demonstrate your ongoing accessibility work

Client Stories

“Working with Perkins Access to attain a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) helped us affirm that our platform is more accessible to a wide range of users with disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, learning disabilities, cognitive limitations, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity and combinations of these.”
